You create the life you live.

Do you like the life you are living?

We all have different beliefs that we have acquired throughout our life, since we were little. A belief is something we heard or read somewhere and decided to accept it as true. A belief is also an acceptance that something exists or that is trustworthy.

We have beliefs related to ourselves, other people, or the world.  According to an article published by PsychologyToday.com, beliefs tell us who we are and are our brain’s way of making sense of and navigating our world. The problem with beliefs is that some of them are limiting us to do or not do what our true selves desire.

People go through life never questioning their beliefs. If we think about it, our life changes and some beliefs could be stopping us from reaching our true potential. So, why don’t we question our beliefs? Maybe because we are afraid we will stop being ourselves, or perhaps we have never thought about questioning something that seems so familiar to us. Either way, I think the question to ask should be: Are your beliefs helping you in your current life? Or do you have limiting beliefs that you need to change?

Our beliefs are expressed in the way we feel, including our emotions and our thoughts. Our feelings and thoughts along with our beliefs create the life we experience. In other words, our beliefs create our physical reality. If you don't like what you see in your physical reality, most likely you would need to review your beliefs so you can align your beliefs to the type of life you want to live

Now, should you question your beliefs either to confirm that you still think a belief is true to you or to challenge it if it is not working for you anymore? I suggest you do.

Here are some of the most common limiting beliefs that could be holding you back from living the life you deserve.

  • I don't know what I want or what I need
  • I will be judged
  • I don’t have time
  • It is not possible for me
  • No one will listen to me
  • I am not good enough

What are your limiting beliefs?

Limiting beliefs are a true thing and identifying them is the first step to be able to change them. Start slowly replacing those beliefs that don’t serve you any more.  Changing limiting beliefs not only will change you for the better, but will change the life you experience

Here are some suggestions to make small steps towards identifying your limiting beliefs:

  1. Get to know yourself.
  2. Be an observant of your emotions and feelings.
  3. Know that it is ok to question your beliefs.
  4. Ask yourself if your beliefs still apply and how they affect your life.

Break free from your limiting beliefs. You deserve to live a good life.
